The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.
The pie charts illustrate the proportion of energy utilized in an average Australian household and energy consumption consequence being the emissions of greenhouse gas.
It is clear that the percentage of employing heating energy was the largest, whereas the water heating emission was a larger figure compared to extant emissions proposed.
Whist the heating energy was consumed the most in Australian household, at around 42%, there was only about 15% in the proportion of their emission defecated. By the contrast, only approximately 30% and 15% respectively of water heating and other appliance energy were used and households witnessed the percentages of greenhouse gas emissions which was larger rather than energy consumption rates, with about 32% and 28% respectively.
In comparison with energy suggested above, the figures for refrigeration, lighting and cooling energy reached only about 7%, 4% and 2% respectively. And their emission rates were around 14%, 8% and 3% respectively.
