The bar chart compares the sales of five different brands of cell phone, namely Samsung, Apple, Nokia, LG, and ZTE, around the world in the years 2009, 2011 and 2013.

It is clear from the chart that Samsung and Apple became more and more popular in recent years, while fewer and fewer people started to buy Nokia and LG, leading to a significant decrease in their sales. The brand from China, ZTE, remained stable over the 5-year period.

In 2009, the figures for the sales of Samsung and Nokia stood at around 230 million and 430 million respectively. These figures were at least twice as high as those for the rest of brands, Apple, LG and ZTE. Over the next 5 years, sales of Samsung rose to 430 million units, whereas Nokia saw a dramatical decrease in its sales.

Decreasing trend was also seen in the sales of LG mobile phones, from 110 million to 80 million. As for Apple, sales in 2013 was around eightfold more than in 2009, rising from about 20 million to 160 million. By comparison, the figure for ZTE sales increased slightly from just under 50 million to around 60 million.
